It's been a busy schedule of events for me over the last couple of months, but this is the last one until September. Sunday night in Meanwood, with @ian__harker, Su Ryder and me.

I'm on the bill at @riponpoetfest on Saturday 21 Sep, in a double-header with fellow Leeds poet Khadijah Ibrahim. Tickets just £5. There's a lot of other good stuff on that day and over the weekend, including @katefoxwriter. Check out the programme here. https://t.co/kZHT6e78h3
Great news for @SarahWimbush. She's a regular and former headliner at @ChemistryPoetry, has been a headliner at @WordsontheWall1, and has done numerous other events with me, most recently at @LeedsLit. And now she's shortlisted for the Forward Prize. So pleased for her :)
@mattabbottpoet Compare to Boris Johnson's election in 2019. He immediately sprang into action by going on a luxury 10-day holiday to a villa in Mustique, hosted and paid for by multi-millionaire Tory donor and political lobbyist David Ross.
We're doing things a bit differently for next month's Chemistry. Instead of the usual two headliners, we'll be showcasing some of our recently-published regulars. Plus the usual open mic and optional theme. Come and join us at @ChemicTavern in Leeds.

Head on over to @HPBCLeeds this afternoon for a cracking double-bill of poetry! We have Hannah Stone's 'The Invisible Worm' at 5pm, with @JoeWilliamsPoet, and Sulaiman Addonia at 7:30pm. And you never know, a beer in the sunshine between the two!
@theleedslibrary today to listen to @SarahWimbush reading from Strike & being interviewed by @JoeWilliamsPoet So much of Sarah’s writing & responses resonated with my experience of living in the Sth Yorks Coalfield in 1984. A powerful combo of words and pictures @leedslit
