🚨🎙️ John Terry Liam Rosenior suspending Enzo Fernandez:
“Listen… I’ve got no problem with players dreaming big, yeah? Everyone respects a big club. But you don’t wear that Chelsea badge, take the armband, and then start flirting in public like that. Not on my watch.”
“Madrid reminds you of home? Good. London should be your home now. This club MADE you a £100 million player.”
“You’re vice-captain, son. Vice-captain. That means when things are bad, you stand up—not start talking about how nice Madrid weather is.”
“You think Didier Drogba was talking about Barcelona when we were losing? Did Frank Lampard start praising Milan mid-season? No. We fixed it. We fought.”
“And let me tell you something—Real Madrid don’t come for players begging in interviews. They come for winners. Leaders.”
“Right now? You’re talking like a tourist, not a captain.”
“So forget Madrid. Forget interviews. Go dominate a midfield, drag Chelsea up the table, and THEN maybe you’ve earned the right to even be in that conversation.”
“Until then… focus on the badge on your chest, not the one you wish you had.”
RIP Billy Bonds, i loved my short loan spell at Millwall in 1998 when you was manager, I travelled to Canary Wharf to a hotel and spend the night hoping the loan deal would get over the line to play against Burnley the next day
I’d never met Billy but his first phone call tickles me
Billy “Hi Mark, did you get down ok? we’ve got the deal done, how are you getting to the game tomorrow”
Me”Driving Billy why”
Billy “Well do yourself a favour and get a cab” me “Why Billy”
Billy “Well results not been too good at present and the fans are taking it out the players cars apparently after all we are Millwall, unless you can guarantee me a clean sheet, then your car will be ok”
Me “ I’ll take the risk and and drive “
Millwall 1 Burnley 0
Everyone at Millwall is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former manager Billy Bonds MBE, aged 79.
Billy oversaw 53 games for The Lions between 1997 and 1998, signing Neil Harris in the process, who would later become the club’s all-time record goalscorer.
Our thoughts are with Billy’s family, friends and everyone at West Ham United.
