There has to be a serious look at why England sit so deep after taking the lead in a high pressure game. The quality of the squad doesn’t align to that defensive mentality. Whilst I’ve been such a big fan of Tuchel, what’s actually different to Southgate’s approach vs Croatia/Italy/Spain? Gutted, but also frustrated at what feels like yet another missed opportunity.

@dazfellows Putting Richard on the get a goal and then moving him to lwb is just ridiculous. Then we bring on a striker to play in midfield whilst Flint gets moved upfront. You can hardly be surprised if you get that sack after those tactical changes when chasing the game.

@luan_painter @ribbonpodcast He played slightly higher than the other 2 but still took up positions mainly on the right so wouldn't really class it as playing in the 10. Just added to our midfield issues.

@dazfellows We don't have a pattern of play or a tactic other than a long ball to the striker. Last season we played this formation and it worked because we had a clear plan to contain teams and gradually force them back with our press. This season i just can't see what we're trying to do.

@oliswift_182 @saddler_andy I think we just need to play him higher up the pitch rather than in a defensive midfield 3. We've missed his pressing a lot this season.
