The Claude Lemieux story today reminds me how angry I got when people that are ignorant/stupid mocked Victor Hedman’s absence from Tampa while struggling with mental health. We are beyond the point where the stigma should still exist. We can do better and be better.
This season was something special.
Memories were made at KeyBank Center and beyond that felt a little like magic, and brought our community together in old and new ways. Buffalo proved itself the hockey town it’s always been.
And now, the wagon rolls on.
This thing of ours is forever, Buffalo. And a new era of Sabres hockey is just beginning.💙💛
Been doing so well I almost forgot that Zach Metsa was on the team
That 3rd pair has been wonderful and many expected them to be putrid. They deserve their flowers
Buffalo hasn't made the playoffs since 2011... but
• they were the largest U.S. market for the 2026 Olympic Gold Medal Game
• In 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 Stanley Cup Finals they were the largest local viewership from a neutral market
• In 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 they were the 3rd largest local viewership of any U.S. city for the complete postseason
• Game 1 tickets this year were $464 USD on average, the most of any team in the NHL
• they're projected as the largest U.S. market for the 2026 regular season
They're the most passionate American hockey city, hands down.
@Sabrestalkv2@TageForHart Can also agree with this. Pretty much same thing, was 50/50 on still being a fan of his until that first game back when postgame he decided to take a shot at fans.
