Chicago WR Luther Burden III is expected to miss the preseason due to the strained groin injury he suffered Saturday, but the Bears believe he should be back for the team’s regular-season opener vs. the Panthers, per sources.
Another day, another notable injury as Zavion Thomas left practice early after going down on the Walter Payton Center turf. Briefly grabbed his knee and then walked off with a slight limp. #Bears
Groin injury worries me a bIt after what happened with Jaylon Johnson last year. Hopefully Luther can have a better healing process and not have this be a constant issues during the season

The Bears could be looking for their next long-term RB in next years draft
Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy is a 2027 draft prospect Chicago fans should already know.
Here’s why his explosive playmaking could fit Ben Johnson’s offense

Bears safety Coby Bryant is expected to be sidelined 8-10 weeks due to a hyperextended knee, bone bruise and small fracture that he suffered at today’s practice, per sources. No surgery is expected to be needed.
Not good. Coby Bryant just went down grabbing his left knee during a 1-on-1 rep vs Cole Kmet. He was clearly emotional as he got on a cart under his own power.
I’ll caution you that they are on the far fields so a cart is not unusual, but the fact that he was so emotional is concerning.
11s back for the 1s from the 46 yard line:
• -3 yard wide zone for Swift, Kiran blown up
• Caleb steps up into the pocket and delivers a strike to Rome with elite anticipation for 25 yards
• Caleb checks into a naked and hits Kmet wide open as he releases for 7 yards
• Caleb throws a perfect pass on a sail route caught by Colston Loveland for 25 yards
• Ahmed inside zone for 4 yards
Incredibly impressive period for Caleb
11 on 11 2 minute ramp up starting with the 1s:
• Completion to Loveland on a 6 yard drag
• Completion to Loveland on a 6 yard hitch
• Completion to Rome on a 15 yard out
• Completion to Loveland on a 10 yard hitch
One of Caleb Williams' better practices. Well over 70% today. Only 4 incompletions all day in 7on7/team and two were tipped at the line. The other was a high throw on a free play (offsides). Luther Burden and Rome Odunze both looking great. #Bears
