@JoshACarpenter may be an impressive course but seems not ideal for the tournament, setting is difficult, views are awful, no crowd... whats the need to play a fake links course having the best parkland or coastal courses...
@JakeSherman Plenty of careers have been wasted since the inception of the exhibition Saudi league, just to name few: Hovland, Fowler, Homa, FInau, Fleetwoood, Cantlay...
@mrmckee In golf legacy is achieved through majors, Ryder Cup, national opens, (which Rahm has not forfeited) not by winning PGAT events as the media has tried to say. Scottie is Scottie because of the 4 majors he has, not because he won the American Express...
@GolfChannel Meritocracy on the PGAT has never been pure.. Receiving a 5 year exemption on the PGAT for winning a major is no different than LIV handing out a 3 year contract to a major champion... and ultimately both are earned.
@GolfMonthly The false economy was created by the PGAT, LIVS money was there, nothing false with that.. PGAT executives failed to funnel Saudi money into the system, like all other sports have...
@Daniel_Rapaport Yet media claims LIV divided golf hahaha, it's an already divided industry on all accounts. Can't believe the "governing bodies" can't impose the rules... Imagine soccer players telling FIFA what to do...
@JoshACarpenter If labor mobility had remained unrestricted, LIV likely wouldn't have needed such massive guarantees. By banning players, PGAT increased the cost of switching. LIV had to compensate for that added risk. Economically, it backfired:didn't stop defections, it inflated them.
@NUCLRGOLF@JohnstonGarrett Why do they need to pay a price?? Many PGAT players play other non pga tournaments and tours and don't have to pay a price...
@NoLayingUp Given our background it surprises me how you deem these reports noteworthy, no business has is entirely funded for a whole year, even were there are capital commitments they are contributed every now and then. I bet NLU Is not sitting on a pile of cash...
@TronCarterNLU I hope this elevates the event as a true open... but most likely the PGAT will ruin it as they did with the Canadian Open, Mexico Open, Scottish Open, etc...
@ProGolfCritic There’s been no shortage of anti-competitive behavior from the PGATand its media allies. Just look at the LIV Promotions: the Tour threatened suspensions for players participating, yet players are free to enter U.S. Open qualifying, another non-PGAT event. Media just plays along
@flushingitgolf So Alex Fitzpatrick left the DPWT to play on another tour for more money... media has told us golfers are somehow not allowed to do that...
