@CovertShores In the Royal Navy I served on Type 23 frigates which were known as submarine hunters. We often didn't know they were there until they surfaced their conning tower for comms or directions. Soviet/Rus subs in UK waters has been a regular thing for decades, I've seen them myself.

@OSINT88 Let's not forget that Russia and Turkey are still fighting a proxy war in Syria, each supporting completely opposite sides. Putin has propped up the Assad regime, Erdoğan has propped up the jihadists. They can't work towards peace in Europe when they won't do it in Syria.
