Our thoughts on this significant and poignant day, as always, are with all those affected by the tragedy at Hillsborough and we pause in memory of the 97 fans who will never be forgotten.
Today marks the 36th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster. As always, our thoughts are with all those affected and the 97 fans who will never be forgotten.
You’ll Never Walk Alone.
People from all over the UK and the world work at The Christie. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to provide the care we do.
We're proud to have a diverse workforce supporting a diverse community here in the Greater Manchester.

In oncology, working out how much of your diagnosis to reveal to those you love, & in what timeframe, can be immensely challenging, especially when there are children involved.
Kate was denied her right to manage this on her own terms by ghoulish media speculation.
For shame.

@bumbaglady@ThanksCancer To love someone with cancer and to stick by them through it. That's a pain only a loved one can experience. Too add to that with even half my shit isn't fair, they do far too much already.
There are wonderful people who will listen though.
@ThanksCancer there isn’t a single person who has had cancer who hasn’t hidden from their loved ones just how bad it really is for them sometimes. I’m in that place now. Yet another 4am despair episode ##FuckCancer
@Mr_Dave_Haslam I'm not fighting a battle or engaged in warfare. I'm living the life I have for as long as I can.
Hopefully as treatments improve alot of the language around cancer can improve too.
The phrase “lost battle with cancer” frames the experience in terms of defeat, a sense of failure, or an implication that the person lacks something that those who "won the battle" have. It's very sad, I wish we had other ways of talking about such things. https://t.co/AkIlj6sbtD
Watching #Aliceandjack on @channel4 thats the 1st time seeing someone on screen representing my form of cancer. Evoked a whole load of feelings. Only one way it was going end.
Andrea Riseborough was excellent.
