@JahaENDFGM @BigSisMovement @UN_CSW Agreed. Donor restrictions are harmful. But projects still need funding, so the solution is not to ignore donors, it’s to demand that they change! Capacity build the hell out of them. Demand they take risk, or cut ties. And...1/2

The risks are real, especially for women and girls. We can’t under-emphasize that. The passion we have, that is innate. #CSWYouthDialogue

@JahaENDFGM @UN_CSW @BigSisMovement This is exactly my point, it’s donors who need capacity building. Women and girls in communities know the solutions. I feel like we aren’t on opposing sides here? But women and girls, esp. youth organizations, need funding. It isn’t free, and perpetuating that idea is wrong.

@JahaENDFGM Respectfully, your experience is not everyone else’s. In some communities where safety is a real concern, there are practical considerations to take into account like hiring a body guard.
