Gene Wilder told Conan the only argument he ever had with Mel Brooks was over Young Frankenstein.
Gene wanted the monster to tap dance to “Puttin’ on the Ritz.” Mel looked at the pages and said, “Are you crazy? It’s frivolous.”
Gene argued for 20 minutes until he was red in the face. Then Mel suddenly said, “Okay, it’s in.”
When Gene asked why he put him through all that, Mel replied: “If you didn’t fight for it, I knew it was wrong. If you really argued, I knew it was right.”
That scene became one of the most iconic moments in comedy.
Best creative argument in film history or just two legends who understood each other perfectly?

@garyvee Brilliant - listened to interview you gave out a my four five years ago in mixergy and you stated clearly your strategy of buying/building and using agency to build the brand and then sell it. Brilliant

These are dark and scary times, but I have faith that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
I will be a force for change. I will be a force for good. Will you?
And it should be a unifying moment. Why isn’t it? I love this nation and once upon a time there were unifying moments but that seems a thing of nostalgia anymore. Makes me detest the vitriol and division. God bless you George Floyd may your soul be at peace
