Yo, I'm Joe
Gonna pin this so you can learn a bit more about me. Respect for viewing my page.
I've been an "entrepreneur" for like 3 years now. I put that in quotation marks because in all honesty, i've not been serious
I've tried hella business models, made a bit of money, quit every single one.
Recently I fell off the grind a little bit, went back to my old habits, lost my ambition and started to settle for the "normal" life. Got a job, started going out on weekends etc.
This lasted for a few months - but my mind was constantly plagued. I hated the fact that i let my ambition die.
Something felt wrong. I had tried for all of these years to build my dreams, and then i just completely gave up on it? Seemed pretty retarded to me
So slowly but surely, I started to get back into things. Was scrolling on twitter and saw a ton of people talking about building mobile apps.
The shiny object got me, even though I knew nothing about coding. I'd never written a line of code in my life & i never planned to. Luckily I knew how to use claude, so that wasn't too big of a problem.
I'm not going to expose what my app is about or the name, since I know X is a hunting ground for copycats.
I launched my app around a week ago, started marketing it through insta and tiktok. Im getting downloads, but no sales yet. But that's minor, sales will come, simply need to do more volume
Ima be documenting everything I learn on here. Genuine business takes, hard-learned lessons etc. Hopefully grow a good audience so i can sell something through X in the future lol.
Plus im here for connections, i need to grow my network & X has the best people for that. Feel free to dm me
I'm quite a deep thinker so ima be using X to just get my thoughts out, I hope you can find some value in them (im sure you will)
Anyways
Respect if you read this far. Drop me a follow if you fancy.
AI is going to make most people brain dead
If you outsource everything to AI, you'll lose the most valuable parts of yourself
Your thinking
Your curiosity
Your creativity
Your decision making
Do this enough and you'll lobotomize yourself.
You may not notice it now, but after a long enough time period, it'll happen
When i first started using AI, I used it for everything.
Writing, creative work, decision making etc..
It felt fine at first, but after a while, I noticed the impact.
I couldn't stay on a train of thought for as long. My creativity died down. My curiosity got weaker and weaker
Life is now 10x better when i stopped using it for everything
Work out what you ACTUALLY need AI for, then start doing everything else manually
Your future self will thank you for it
Real, human marketing is the moat
Every day there’s a new AI CMO or AI creative strategist that gets launched. Reality is, they’re all shit.
People act like marketing is dying because AI can do it
But any good marketer knows that this couldn’t be further from the truth. Let me explain
The greatest skill a marketer can have is empathy. Being able to truly understand people’s emotions, desires, problems etc..
Then, knowing how their customer feels, they write exactly to them
They know which emotions to hit, what language the customer uses etc… all because they have EMPATHY
And guess what… AI does not, and never will have empathy
It doesn’t have emotions, it doesn’t understand them like a human does
It’ll never be able to write directly to the deepest parts of the human psyche,
The parts that as soon as they light up, the customer pulls out their credit card
Getting cracked at marketing will always be the moat
@MaxHirsch13 Good idea but this might attract the wrong audience
You’ll likely get much younger audiences with this, who will want the app, but might not have the money to pay for it
Good for vitality though, can’t deny that
@jscnjay Very weird thing on X lol
Most of the replies are just bots and AI as well
What also pisses me off is the “drop your product/offer/startup” below and I’ll rate it
You’re just asking for copycats lol
The easiest way to add 30-40% to your revenue as a business...
Is to stop selling to people that operate in a low emotional state
And start selling to the inverse instead - sell to those who operate in a high emotional state
When i say this, i don't mean "low emotion" as in they don't really feel much or that they lack emotion
I mean they operate on a very low frequency.
They constantly feel shame, guilt, humiliation etc. Those emotions are the ones that dictate their life...
And since their inner world mirrors out into the outer world, the likelihood is, they're broke, skeptical, not willing to invest in themselves etc..
Yes they may be in more pain, have bigger problems, be seeking more solutions...
But as soon as it comes to pulling out their credit card - they run away
They won't trust you, they'll be scared, they won't know if it'll work, they want to look at other options
But on the flipside, people who operate at a high emotional state are the complete opposite
They're filled with ambition, belief, excitement, and all round positive energy
They'll view your product as an investment - they'll be optimistic that it'll work, they'll want to build good relationships, they'll have trust in you and will WANT to make it work
Obviously, there are still nuances to this, but fundamentally, if your product fits their needs, all that needs to change is your positioning and messaging
A fitness coach can quite easily change from helping 9-5 workers (low emotional state) to executives or entrepreneurs (high emotional state)
He just needs to make his copy and content congruent & his business will transform over night.
Just keep this in mind in your marketing. You'll see the impact.

you've gotta be wary of the advice even if its not paid tbh
most of the time, when people post content, it's to force a narrative that helps them sell whatever they've built
Not shitting on it, but just be careful about whether the advice is actually trying to help you, or if its just trying to sell you
