#MofaUpdate🔔: 🇺🇬|🇩🇪 Day 5 of the Germany–Uganda Coffee Origin Familiarisation Tour 🇩🇪🇺🇬, spearheaded by the Uganda Embassy in Berlin, continued to showcase Uganda’s exceptional coffee heritage, innovation, and growing reputation as a premier global coffee origin. The German delegation visited coffee farmers and processing facilities in Ssange owned by Pr. Fredie Ssekyewa under Hope Coffee Uganda Limited. Founded in 2016, the company now works with over 5,200 farmers across the districts of Kyotera, Masaka, Lwengo, Rakai, and Kiruhura. Specializing primarily in Robusta coffee, the factory exports approximately 80 tons of high-quality coffee to Germany, further strengthening Uganda’s position within the international coffee market. The delegation gained firsthand insights into Uganda’s sustainable coffee production, traceability systems, premium processing standards, and value addition initiatives that are transforming rural livelihoods.
