Long live the Honda Fit 😎

[Boston Smalls @smalls2672]

😆🤣🤣🤣 100 grand to watch a little Honda drive by you.

Interested in a dissolved phase Xenon phantom for lung MRI?

Check out the great publication from my previous lab:
https://t.co/pPpqR0ZwdA

Includes separate vials for both the RBC and interstitial-membrane frequencies. Thankful to be a part of this project during my PhD.

[Joey Plummer @JoeyPlummer4]

@jemima_pm1 This was a great paper, congratulations! 😀

[Joey Plummer @JoeyPlummer4]

Lastly, all of this was possible from three+ years of encouragement and collaborations from @LLWalkup, co-authors in @CincyKidsRad, @uofcincy, and many more outside. Excited for the follow ups to come!

Thankful to announce our latest publication that demonstrates compressed sensing reconstructions of non-Cartesian 129Xe MRI data using a hyperpolarized decay model: https://t.co/660JUYKPfz

This approach improves image sharpness and SNR, even with three-fold reduced breath-holds!

[Joey Plummer @JoeyPlummer4]

Most importantly, the code can be found here: https://t.co/N3aoeOLINi

which includes 2D and 3D, radial and spiral examples, for both ventilation and gas-exchange MRI. GPU support not required but recommended.

Thankful to announce our recent publication: https://t.co/kslLVv7oRH

In short,
We found a way to measure flip angle maps for 2D spiral hyperpolarized xenon MRI using keyhole reconstruction. This enables images to be corrected for infamous "B1-drop-offs" using analytical theory.

[Cincinnati Children's @CincyChildrens]

We’re honored to be named the #1 children’s hospital in the nation according to @usnews! This is another amazing first for Cincinnati Children’s and our region and we couldn’t have gotten here without you. #WeAreCincyKids

[Polarean @PolareanImaging]

History was made this week!

The first clinical scan utilizing our XENOVIEW™ (xenon Xe 129 hyperpolarized) technology in the United States took place at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, as a 19-year-old cystic fibrosis patient became the very first person to receive an FDA-approved XENOVIEW lung MRI.

A thing of great power

[Joey Plummer @JoeyPlummer4]

My friend and coworker, Abdullah Bdaiwi, just published his work on analytical B1-inhomogeneity corrections in 2D-spiral hyperpolarized Xe MRI! Will be a precursor for many more projects down the line. Check it out here: https://t.co/usRoVvlMnI

Threw the kitchen sink at my grandmother (3mm isotropic acquired resolution, 3-fold under-sampled FLORET, wavelet/TV compressed sense, heavily depolarized xenon, ~3 second breath-hold) 😎

[KMyers @KMyersBMT]

Amazing talk on Xe MRI for early detection of lung dysfunction after HSCT including BOS @LLWalkup @JoeyPlummer4 @BmtCincy #Tandem23

@CorinW4 Very sorry to have missed this reply for months, Corin! If you're still interested, I'd be happy to share the abstracts/slides with you. :)

Had an amazing time in London for #ISMRM22. Thankful for the awesome #XeMRI community. Next stop San Francisco for #ATS2022!

[Joey Plummer @JoeyPlummer4]

Had a great time at the @ISMRM data sampling and reconstruction workshop last week— it’s going to be hard to top these views for a conference location 🏜️ #XeMRI

The statistics might look pretty scary at first glance, so we made this notebook to help you get going:
https://t.co/oMxLciJ7xi

Download the .pdf, or knit the .Rmd document within R-studio yourself. All 🫁 data included

[Joey Plummer @JoeyPlummer4]

Xenon gas-exchange MRI lacks in sensitivity when you don't incorporate demographics in your healthy reference data... so we made a tiny dent at fixing that!

I’m super late on this but I just wanted to shoutout Dr. Laura Walkup for winning her first R01 award on her FIRST try.

You inspire me all the time, Laura. Thanks for being my mentor ❤️
