it's been a long day
without you, my friend
and i'll tell you all about it
when i see you again
we've come a long way
from where we began
oh, i'll tell you all about it
when i see you again
when i see you again
Here’s a thought that might ruffle some feathers…
Why aren’t more Americans ditching the endless NFL drama and rallying behind hockey instead?
Hockey players grind every single second of every shift—full speed, bone-crushing hits, no timeouts to catch their breath, and they play through pain like it’s nothing. They represent their country with pride (think Olympic intensity or national team pride), and you rarely hear about “woke” controversies, anthem protests, or anti-American owners/league antics dominating the headlines.
Football? It’s become a soap opera: kneeling debates, political hot takes, massive egos, and headlines about everything except the game.
Quick side-by-side (rough 2025-26 numbers):
• Intensity & Effort — NHL: Non-stop action, players on ice 15-25 mins/game fighting for every puck. NFL: Plays last seconds, lots of standing around.
• Average Player Salary — NHL: ~$3.5-4 million (more even distribution, fully guaranteed contracts). NFL: ~$3-5 million+ (heavily skewed by QBs, many non-guaranteed).
• Off-Field Noise — NHL: Mostly about the game, rivalries, and skill. NFL: Constant culture war stories.
Hockey players just show up, play hard, and let their work speak. No drama, pure competition.
Time to give hockey the love it deserves—it’s the tougher, prouder sport America needs more of. Who’s with me? 🏒🇺🇸 #HockeyOverFootball #GrindMode
