One thing I learned from chapter 10 is that the virtual community has subtype communities such as a brand community. They can be user generated, such as Starbucks. @NyquistDave#SMMNORTHWOODTECH2025
@NyquistDave Yep, this is an excellent point by Macarthy. But it also implies a lot if responsibility. Especially fir our own brand. Is that a good thing or bad thing?
A tip/point/suggestion by Macarthy (2023) is that we have all become "individual brand ambassadors." This is via our personal social media by like, share, subscribe, comment, and follow. #SMMNORTHWOODTECH2025@NyquistDave
Mccarthy (2023) suggests the first 24 hours of a video posted on YouTube are important, because that activity will determine where the video is ranked, favorably or not. Traffic/attention is important (p.161). #SMMNORTHWOODTECH2026@NyquistDave
@MBReed84@NyquistDave Timing does matter. I've seen some better results during certain posting timed. But, depending upon who your followers are, social media can be a band wagon, too. Threads, Insta, and Tic-Toc. Do you agree? Have you ever seen better results/likes when you post at a certain times?
@kallynconstant1@NyquistDave True, if we don't give some info on the post, picture, or bio, people don't know what it's for. That suggests we need at least some words for guidance fir our audience. But not too much.
A key point from chapter 3 is that "optimization across the board via social media is a dream," because they're all different (p.51). #SMMNORTHWOODTECH2026@NyquistDave
@NyquistDave 500 Social Media Marketing Tips, authored by Macarthy suggests secret message boards (IE: Pinterest). This is for starting/storing info, and getting ready for seasonal (X-mas, Fall, Winter, Spring, & Summer) marketing campaigns and more!
