Two questions I have are:
1. That article states that neither of the targets set at COP10 in 2010 were met. How close were we? Why did we not achieve this? How can we do better to achieve the goals set next week?
2. How does something go from a proposed goal to reality?
Nations gather in Montreal next week for the #COP15@UNBiodiversity Conference to plot new goals for protecting nature.
#ClimateChange is intensifying biodiversity loss, yet solutions to the climate challenge can also be found in nature.

It is worth noting that the article is a blog, which typically indicates individual opinions. However, it still appears to be credible; it comes from the official UN website for climate change and cites its sources for its data.
My favorite part of what I learned in stats class this term had to include coding in R. Our linear regression project was a great way to apply some of my R skills and draw conclusions from the graphs I created. #Math530
I'm now questioning the positive association between precipitation and drinking water...hurricanes bring pretty heavy precipitation after all. I guess we'll find out in due time #Math530
Because my #Math530 regression project investigates the potential correlation between available drinking water and precipitation levels in a given country, @water_mission was definitely a source worth following. I found this article as a result of Water Mission's retweet.
Two questions I have about this article are:
1. Most importantly, how are the reconstruction efforts going? How many households' safe running water infrastructures have been restored?
2. How do you determine how many people/who are needed for such a disaster response team?
My statistics project coming up is going to be coded in R, and I'm excited to find out if the amount of rainfall a region of the world gets affects the amount of available drinking water/water shortage issues in that country by using bivariate data. #Math530
This New York Times article, titled "‘It’s Life or Death’: The Mental Health Crisis Among U.S. Teens" dives into the story of a 13-year-old's battle against mental health problems. https://t.co/2KNs7JiavR
Two questions I have about this article are:
1. How have the behaviors of teenagers changed since the pandemic?
2. How do social media and technology contribute to the mental health issues M was going through?
This is a histogram I coded in R during my #Math530 class that visualizes the weights of the Olympic Athletes in 2016. I learned many things such as how to change the graph's colors, the axes labels, and the titles. Super cool to get some experience coding in R!
This isn't good. I already spend too much money on food...I love Doordash too much. Really interesting to see how inflation affects the economy through a horizontal bar graph. #Math530
