@brandon48442660@ProfessorStacie It is hard to learn in an environment you are not comfortable in. So seeing things trying to return to normal is a good sight.
@Cole_Bishop_5@ProfessorStacie I feel that face to face learning is the best way to learn. So seeing them trying to return things to normal is a good sight.
@ProfessorStacie My senior year was when Covid first impacted the school system. The only effect to me was just not going back for the last nine weeks. But the last couple years it as impacted learning in many different ways. It is good to see that we are trying to turn the corner from Covid.
@sellers_brandee@ProfessorStacie Brandee, I agree with you about having different types of learners. I also like how you say that with these different types of learners we need to also have different styles of teaching on top of that.
@brandon48442660@ProfessorStacie Brandon, I also agree that we all learn in different ways. Also that it is our jobs as teachers to identify this and put the students in the best position to learn.
@ProfessorStacie The reason it is important to connect with students individually is every student is different. Some students would rather learn hands on but some might prefer copying definitions off of a board. Our job as teachers is to identify this and put the students in the best position.
@BIG_DUDE_BLOCK@ProfessorStacie I think this is a fear every new teacher probably has, and I worry about this as well. I know as teachers we all want to reach every student and that is a big task.
@brandon48442660@ProfessorStacie I have a similar fear about being able to handle all of the administrative tasks that come with teaching, as I donβt really expect our education to prepare us for that.
@ProfessorStacie As a new teacher I worry about how to deal with discipline problems. Maintaining classroom control is important, however I do not want those with behavior problems to feel alienated from the rest of the class.
