@MicrosoftHelps has now readily admitted that I am one of many many users facing this issue, an issue that they currently have no resolution for, meaning there are multiple users locked out of their accounts and restricted from accessing financial/health accounts, just like I am

@MicrosoftHelps we’ve been locked out our Hotmail account due to a lost phone. The new one doesn’t have the Authenticator app and the mobile number linked to the account you aren’t sending verification messages too…

We need this account as we’re moving house this weekend!
