My research group @CISPA is hiring PhD students and PostDocs! Are you interested in network/software/system security? You'd start in an excellent research environment and enjoy complete academic freedom at ~52-61k EUR annual salary. Details: https://t.co/1YyKAxPhoK -- please RT.
A big thank you to @chrossow for welcoming me to his research group many years ago, @AndreasZeller and Katsunari Yoshioka (YNU) for reviewing my thesis, my colleagues for creating this blinking masterpiece, and everyone else @CISPA I had the pleausure to meet during this journey.
Congrats to my student @JohKrupp, who successfully defended his PhD thesis titled `Using Honeypots to Trace Back Amplification DDoS Attacks`! He should be your go-to person for amplification #DDoS attacks. The thesis answers 3 exciting questions (+ one I cannot yet share): 🧵1/3
Our BGP-based amplification DDoS traceback idea just received a Distinguished Paper Award from #EuroSP21. Huge congrats to @JohKrupp, and thanks to the positive reviewers and selection committee for promoting this work. We feel honored and grateful! @CISPA@IEEEEUROSP
@Elyx0 Hi, yes, if I recall correctly there actually was one vulnerable contract that had held 5000 Eth for something like 10 minutes in the past.
I guess my accent is too strong, youtube tries to autogenerate german subtitles :(
Heads-up: On April 9th at 18:00 CET Johannes Krupp from @CISPA will talk about their research on »BGPeek-a-Boo: Active BGP-based Traceback for Amplification DDoS Attacks«

#saarCTF 2021 is coming to you on May 8th, 13:00 UTC. We have just opened the registration. https://t.co/YdSMHyeKk9 Also new this year: we'll offer cloud hosting! Spread the word (and register, obviously).
Our honeypot #AmpPot sees >10k amplification #DDoS attacks per day, some of which cause Tbps attack volume. Which networks are responsible for these (IP-spoofed) attacks? @JohKrupp released our @IEEEEUROSP project which uses #BGP poisoning to trace back spoofing sources. (1/2)
RuCTFE 2018 is over!
First place: saarsec
Second place: Bushwhackers
Third place: TowerOfHanoi
Thank you for a good game!
