I hope the Steenhuisen thing is a wake up call to the many good, well-meaning people in the DA who reflexively took his side just because he's "their guy" and assumed malice from the rest of us.
Very few of us criticise or call out the DA because we want to see the party fail. Rather assume that when we do it, we have a good reason that deserves some attention.
Capital gains taxes make no sense & shouldn't exist
I invest my capital. I create the opportunity. I take the risk. I do the work. I take the chances. I accept the losses if things go wrong
So why should the government collect a slice when things go right?
They didn’t take the risk. They didn’t build the business. They just take
Not quite sure if I am correct, but if the DA can gain more black voters than they lose to the FF, is that not a win all for those that are ANTI- ANC and their offspring ? We can all worry about values and morals when there is a Anti-Corruption and Incompetence Majority Coalition in charge that can actually do something about it ?
South Africans, at what point do we admit that we have normalised failure?
How do we accept a system where citizens can lose up to 41% of their salaries to tax, yet corruption continues to thrive, rural roads remain undrivable, municipalities collapse, and local councillors operate with little to no accountability?
Taxation without visible service delivery is not governance; it is betrayal.
This country does not lack money. It lacks ethical leadership, consequence management, and political will. We cannot keep comparing ourselves to countries like Qatar and pretending the difference is luck. The difference is leadership, planning, discipline and accountability.
South Africa deserves a government that respects every rand taken from its people. The amount of tax we are paying is just insane😭💔
I’m not a big fan of Thabo Mbeki but he is quite right. Foreigners represent about 4% of the South African population and whilst they may contribute to unemployment they also contribute to job creation as many of them are skilled and they provide jobs for locals. The main driver of unemployment is government corruption leading to non-investment and BBBEE also leading to non-investment. So if you want a single culprit for unemployment it’s the ANC.
Do not be mistaken. The EFF is trying to remove a competent and corruption-busting city manager and replace him with a cadre who will look the other way.
The only way to stop this is to vote DA and ensure Cilliers Brink runs Tshwane with a full blue majority

@Johnnycash44883@ASZulu All the means were given to you, your leaders chose to eat it themselves, you got the crumbs, if anything at all. Why not read whats happening in Ruanda as an example, and also compare some other African country's economies to SA
Hey @SAHRCommission, come and fetch him. I hope to see the same eagerness you dealt with my case. Case was opened within 24 hours by you, let’s see how long you take on him.
@GrootAfrikaner Get the majority government first, then sort out the other issues, first, service delivery, clean audits, then Religion, Ideology and other, without the majority there is nothing.
Both arguments are correct, but only partially, for the best outcome, voting between party's on the same side of the fence should be strategic, stupid to oppose a candidate (representing a future coalition partner) that has a marginal majority, and open the door to more corruption, smart to vote for your first choice, in the ward or proportional list, and then support the marginal candidate in the other.
@ingedagte@TriesteGJ@Volkstaat10 Yes, all people are different, and anybody should have the right to choose the people or groups, or tribes they want to be associated with, but no one group should be considered a superior race, different, yes.
So blacks cant play rugby ?, the all black coaches are then even better than Rassie ?, having to play with as many, if not more blacks ? And on many occasions made fools of white Sprinbok teams ?
The point I was trying make, Rassie made a lot of us, the people who live in SA forget about race and colour and proved the value of unprejudiced acceptance of all races that has in the case of rugby proven that good leadership and management outweights racial bias, the bias you subscribe to, in my view the country we could have, would even have a place for you, in places like Orania, this option should be available for any race or ideology, and our constitution makes allowance for it, all we need is a majority government that allows for this to happen.
Remember, two-tier policing is not just a British thing.
If AfriForum announced a massive national riot and even gave a date, its whole leadership would be locked up.
A leftist anti-immigration riot? No arrests. Just R600 million in taxes invested with the comrades.
The USA gave SA R2billion for HIV relief to cover Oct '25 to March '26. (R131billion since inception). This funding has been withdrawn due to ANC govt corruption, Iran support, Malema's Hate Speeches and EWC of pvt property. Thank you ANC & EFF for putting all SA's interests below their own.
The ANC has never had a vision to build anything. Their slogans consistently and exclusively focus on breaking things:
- "liberation before education"
- "make South Africa ungovernable"
- "destroy white monopoly capital"
Unfortunately, they have intoxicated many of their supporters with this twisted ideology. Even when the target is legitimate, making destruction the goal has never led to anything constructive.
The same criticism goes to people on the right who wish to "destroy wokeness" without knowing who they are or what they seek to preserve.
