People form fast categories from race, culture, nationality, accent, dress, and behavior because you do not get a 15-minute interview with every stranger.

The “everyone is racist” line is sloppy.

What is well documented?

Implicit association tests on millions of people show widespread group preferences.

That is not the same thing as hating people, wanting them dead, or running a caste system.

Conflating those is how the word became worthless.

What is real?

First impressions form in fractions of a second, they stick, and they affect interviews and promotions.

People dress for interviews because appearance and delivery beat the resume in the first minute.

Racism is treating an individual as a mascot for a group you already decided to punish or exalt.
