@BelTel@SJAMcBride To an extent both Britain and Ireland owe a debt to each other as they have forgiveness to ask. There must be a reconciliation before there can be true peace. Hopefully with time and open discussions peace will eventually come to these islands.
@squinteratn Why are you even shopping in Tesco? It was founded by someone of the Jewish faith. Are you only anti Israel, and even then is it only those from Israel who support the action in Gaza?
@crime_punx@General_Raptor@IrishUnity Dalriada was a Gaelic kingdom that encompassed the western seaboard of Scotland and north-eastern Ireland, on each side of the North Channel established in the 5th century AD. I’m guessing Kentucky is not your ancestral home?
@historyinaglass@little_pengelly Part of the display in the GPO Dublin, the flag is the orange and green joined in peace.
A United Ireland at peace with its British neighbour is the best solution. A respect for each other.
@little_pengelly And don’t forget
Theobald Wolfe Tone
Henry Joy McCracken
Roger Casement
Erskine Childers
Countess Markievicz
The cause of Irish independence and republicanism has a long and proud history amongst the Anglo Irish, Scots Irish and Presbyterians in particular.
@Seanofthesouth @IrishMa88348067 Another Irish patriot of Protestant heritage, rooted in Ulster.
When there is a UI we will all take our rightful places at the table.
@MacgMairtin I think he’s wrong there, SF have had an abstention policy for over 100 years even claiming the 1st female MP. Much longer than those DUP Johnny come latelys
@afjmcloughlin@politicsIN I don’t think it would take that long. The English consider anyone from this island as Irish. NI’s time is running out we can either show the union is the best option or prepare the way to take our place in a UI
@mclaren_linzi I don’t understand why people are singling out the PSNI. All police forces across these islands, and that includes Garda Siochána, have been seen to be less than expected, in some cases. A few bad apples. Who watches the watchers?
@weepee11@PaddyShanks If only to remind people that one reason the Irish language survives is because of Scottish Presbyterians.
And another thing, republicanism owes a debt to the United Irishmen, led by Presbyterians.
And where was the first republic declared in Ireland? It may surprise you.
