The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

I'm Boris and I created Claude Code. Lots of people have asked how I use Claude Code, so I wanted to show off my setup a bit.
My setup might be surprisingly vanilla! Claude Code works great out of the box, so I personally don't customize it much. There is no one correct way to use Claude Code: we intentionally build it in a way that you can use it, customize it, and hack it however you like. Each person on the Claude Code team uses it very differently.
So, here goes.
AI should be about creating real world value that helps us. But with fierce competition, it’s become more about which AI model is the most powerful. Powerful enough to become unstoppable.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says "don’t get stuck in the “AI slop vs sophistication” fight.
Nadella recommends moving past the vibe-based debate and focusing on what actually creates real-world value and how we design + deploy AI responsibly.
Satya Nadella says 2026 will be a big year for AI, but in a different way.
We’re moving from “wow demos” to “does this actually help people?”
He thinks we’re entering “widespread diffusion”: AI is spreading everywhere. So we need to separate spectacle (flashy) from substance (useful outcomes).
AI should be a scaffold for human potential, not a replacement for humans. The real question isn’t “how powerful is the model?” It’s “how do people use it to reach goals?”
He also says we’ll move from models to systems: multiple models + agents working together, with memory, permissions, and safe tool use.
@RepMTG@AOC Greene reminds me of that bully in elementary school. Picking fights with everyone with no good ideas. She’s against everything, including lowering your gas prices. Greene loves the oil industry charging you more at the pump. Her bills say so.
