Reflection Day #5: I used to think that all standards and topics were equally important, but now I think grade-level standards need to be prioritized so students can enter next school year with a deep understanding of the must-know, essential concepts.
@TFerribyThomas I agree completely Tesha! Unfortunately for me the great teams I experienced collaborated almost accidentally because we were friends with classrooms near one another. We must encourage school leaders provide teacher teams with the purposeful support needed to thrive every year.
Reflection Day #4: I used to think I could close my door, plan my lessons, and teach all on my own, but now I realize my best years as teacher were with a collaborative team with whom I could not only bounce ideas but who would help support me both educationally and emotionally.
