@730cml As the seven existing councils are to be abolished, how will this reform be three times the cost and result in more staff? For example, there will be three highly paid chief executives rather than seven.
STOLEN. Overnight from outside my home in Canterbury. Honda CB500. V329DPN. They cut through the security chain. Reported to Police. Please repost. I am not optimistic about getting it back but the more people who see this post the more chance there is.
@markchristie Regarding a proposed 20mph limit in my area (I objected), a LD cllr said that, "the advert for a proposed TRO is itself an additional consultation, but only overwhelming public opposition or significant legal objections will normally prevent a TRO from being implemented."
@ElectionNight5@mod_in_metro@MunicipalDreams I used to work in it on an occasional basis and always enjoyed going there. What is odd, though, is that the lifts are a long way from the main entrance down a maze of corridors, and the mezzanine floor is on about the second floor, not right at the top.
@OctaneMark@markchristie Research indicates that very few councils operate a specialised Bank Holiday service to enable residents to report serious planning breaches. The government would have take action to regularise this for all 300-odd councils in England.
@MotoClark I agree about the lobbying (and also party donations), but the fact that about 176,000 children are living in temporary accommodation suggests something of a problem to me.
@markchristie The consultation you've highlighted is being run by central government. You would be doing well to submit a response to it inside five minutes, though, as there are no binary questions to answer.
