He hadn’t left because another company offered him more money.
He left because he had lost trust in the people running this one.
A month later, several employees—including me submitted our resignations.
To this day, I still remember his smile.
It wasn’t the smile of someone who had escaped.
It was the smile of someone who had finally stopped pretending everything was okay.
