Natural resources in Canada are provincial responsibility, including forests. Wildfire fighting is provincial responsibility. (Provinces can call on feds for emergency assistance.) Doug Ford cut wildfires budget by $70 million in 2019, and cut it a further $42 million in 2025.

My kid is currently in a camp near Barrie, Ontario. After the sweltering heat which shut down most activities, he is now enjoying being forced indoors to avoid smoke inhalation. Doug Ford cancelled all green energy projects as soon as he was elected Premier. It cost us millions.

This is a gross abuse of taxpayer dollars. Doug Ford’s Brampton East MPP billed taxpayers nearly $30K for downtown Toronto hotels. Brampton residents don't get free hotels to go to work, they commute, just like everyone else. But MPP Grewal thinks he should be living the suite life on your dime. Pay. It. Back.
