@LORWEN108 Anxiety for me lives at the somatic level first — before the story, before the thought. I feel it in the body, and then it shows up in the imagination. Love that your method meets it right there at the root. Looking forward to the webinar, Lorwen
@balajis The battle of the 21st century may not be political.
It may be whether human beings can stay deeply connected to meaning in a world optimized for distraction.
@AmericanDebunk I rode the ski lift this week with a man who had an opinion about Scott and said that he made bigoted and racist remarks. I asked him which ones and for an example. He said he didn’t have any specifics.
He also said he talked to Mr. Greenblatt about Scott - 2 Movies, 1 screen.
@ScottAdamsSays “How to Fail and Almost Everything and Still Wig Big” made a huge difference for me and how I looked at life when I needed it most. Sending love and gratitude your way @ScottAdamsSays
@akirathedon@akirathedon I literally wake up to your songs everyday. "Be the Hero" is my favorite but now adding this. You are making a big lot in the world. Fan.
Before you head off to that great Simultaneous Sip in the Sky, I have one humble request:
Please — destroy a printer.
Chuck it out the window.
You almost did it once on CSWA.
Do it for every soul who’s ever screamed at a paper jam, and for all of us who’ve survived a “mandatory synergy alignment” meeting.
Because… What Would Dilbert Do? (WWDD)
You gave us the language for the absurdity of office life — and the courage to laugh through it. For that, we’re forever grateful.
This isn’t goodbye. But until we sip again.
@ScottAdamsSays Scott, Before you’re off to the Simultaneous Sip in the Sky, could you please destroy a printer and throw it out your office window? It would be cathartic and help alleviate our collective grief anticipation. We need this one Scott. It’s not goodbye, it’s until we sip again.
I’ve gone to bed with Scott for the last 9 years. Meaning his voice and podcast has been so impactful that it allowed me to got to sleep fast. I think it was his hypnotist background and how he talks slowly.
He taught me how to reframe some problem areas in my life and how to deal with certain people and I barely knew him.
I was in on the special Locals crowd that he hosted at night for years. Several times he commented or laughed at what I said. That meant a lot to me. I felt connected to him on those calls.
He has made a big impact on the world and on me and my family.
My wife even asks about Scott, even though she never listened to him other than when we went to bed. Which was practically every night.
I never thought I would have a sense of a personal connection with a famous podcaster / influencer but I can say Scott seems like a friend who I know well.
I work in the field of Diagnosing and Treating Prostate Cancer and while there are several breakthru therapies we have a long way to go.
I just wish others who are going through what Scott is had access to the connections he has had with his audience and I am sure his friends.
Well Done Scott, you are an extraordinary human being.
