@kevinsheehanDC The biggest end of game disaster since the ‘Hopkins Heist’ loss to Philly in 89. A kneel down would have ended the game. But that was not the call.
@GrantPaulsen Sure you can. All units were playing well when Marcus was hurt. Just as with Daniels, the injury demoralized the team and I don’t blame them.
@funnydanny Team will consult several orthopedic surgeons. At least one of them makes a case against surgery and says it’s ok for him to play again in a few weeks. Team goes with that surgeon’s recommendation and he plays.
@GrantPaulsen Just watched Dr. Sutterer’s analysis on YouTube. Last year, he correctly predicted Daniels would miss a few weeks only. Now, he seems to think that season ending surgery is most likely.
@kevinsheehanDC@team980 Having watched his every play as a pro, my answer is,not sure. He needs to run less and throw downfield more, like Maye does. Elite QBs, make consistent accurate throws downfield into coverage which he does only occasionally. Tom Brady is impressed with him which gives me hope.
@SleeperWSH@DanGrazianoESPN I think a key question that I can’t answer is this. Can we consistently run for 4 or more yards on first down (with absolute minimal runs from Daniels)?
@BYOB1982 I think there is a sense of being snakebit due to injuries. We thought that last year was the ‘injury year’ and that our luck would turn. Seems it has, for the worse, with up to 6 starters out of the opener. Philly has only 3 questionables, Dallas only 2.
@JPFinlayNBCS It’s an interesting strategy. Appear to be disorganized, unprepared and undermanned to lull then opposition into overconfidence. As Spock would say….fascinating…
@NickiJhabvala I’m dissapointed that Quinn has fallen back on politician style responses that we can all see straight through like ‘we’re working through’ a situation that is clearly a self inflicted disaster with no realistic solution.
@JPFinlayNBCS It’s been figured out by everyone, it’s terrible and there is no solution. Jeff Bostic isn’t walking through that door. Len Hauss isn’t walking through that door.
@GrantPaulsen The risk of injury is too high, and this will continue into the regular season. He should be inactive until at least we get through those first three tough games, then maybe get him some reps in game 4 in England.
@JPFinlayNBCS The risk of injury is too high. I’m not sure if is even safe to play him during the regular season. Perhaps we see if we can get to the playoffs with Marcus, then work him into the lineup.
