So a new book published today and I got to celebrate the moment in person with the author, my long time friend, Christen Civiletto, a practicing attorney, author and host of the Bookstorm Podcast. Christen’s new book is an Earth-shattering revelation of over a century and toxic waste and corruption that has literally plagued Niagara Falls for decades. She combines her passion as an environmental attorney who grew up in the notorious Love Canal neighborhood where she and her family witnessed the carnage the toxic waste created and brings it to life with her amazing writing skills. Current situation: we are actively engaging agents and publishers in search of a larger platform to publish my new Nate Kelsey series and relaunch my Joe O’Shanick/Christy Tabrizi series. The original four published novels have been revised with a new editor and the result will be much better writing and faster pace which will translate to everything I have written since which is two novels in the Nate Kelsey series and books 5 and 6 in the O’Shanick/Tabrizi series. Pictured is O’Shanick Book 7 which I am working on right now. It is about 1/3 written and I LOVE the story! I know it’s been a LONG time since In Darkness Light Shines published but I have been hard at work trying to reach a much larger publishing platform and, as you can see, I have many more books written and ready to publish. If the blood pressure is high, but you’re not having any symptoms, such as chest pain or shortness of breath, then there’s nothing emergent to do. We do not try to emergently lower blood pressure. A short-term elevation of blood pressure is not going to cause any damage. It’s long-term elevation. That is the problem. Therefore, if you’re not having symptoms, the ER doesn’t even do Testing according to current recommended guidelines. Simply follow up with your primary care position and have it rechecked. If it remains elevated over a course of a couple of weeks, then you may need to get started on oral blood pressure medication. For further information, you may Google the American College of emergency physicians, clinical guidelines for asymptomatic, hypertension.
