Speak to it!
Read: Numbers 20:11
Moses allowed his anger to get in the way of God’s plan.
He smites when he should speak!
Never smite when you should speak. Give your anger to Jesus and let him nail it to the Cross.
Get Out of This Place
Genesis 19:12 and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place.
The words were sharp … “get out of this place!”
The sad reality is that Lot never saw the danger
Can you see when you are in danger? If so, are you willing to get out?
Find the Good!
Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Redeeming means to “buy back”.
If you feel like you have lost time in the past, God has given us a way to buy it back.
Vs.20 Give thanks for all things! Find the good and give God praise!
Who Brings What?
Romans 8:35
Christians developing into disciples must be aware of triggers and arousal points. If not, they will fall into a sinful state.
The text states “who” and it goes on to list “what’s”.
So, beware of the “Who’s” bringing the “What’s” into your life!
What’s Truth?
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Evidence of truth is being free of doubt because truth is found in Jesus.
Denying truth does not change it.
God’s Word
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Since God began creation with His Word, it stands to reason that we (His creation) should begin our day with His Word!
Whose word? God’s Word!
Trust Issues
Psalm 20:7
Moses lifted up his rod over the Red Sea, and thousands of men, horses and chariots were never seen again. Moses had God’s Name on his staff long before the Red Sea.
Remember your past victories with God. It will bring you through your current situation.
Pour it Out!
Psalm 62: 8Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.
Do you trust God with your whole heart - to tell Him everything? Try pouring it all out. He can handle it. Nothing good happens when you hold back.
No Bragging!
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
It’s a blessing to see the fruits of your labor. That’s how God feels when He sees us walking in His Will. So, tell others about the God you serve when they try to give you credit for your success.
Here For You!
Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
There aren’t many words that mean more to us when life is tough than “I am here for you!” We have that kind of friend in Jesus. Now, shouldn’t we be and do the same to others?
Selfie
John 5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
In the kingdom of man, it is all about “me” and remaining in the limelight.
In the Kingdom of God, Jesus is the image we should focus our attention upon, not ourselves.
Let’s be selfless, not selfish.
No Shortcuts
Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD,
There are so many people taking short cuts to success that it makes “doing right” seem unnecessary.
Don’t believe it! Stay the course. Remain steadfast! Jesus is with you every step of the way.
Taking shortcuts means leaving Him!
Give and Live
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure …
Giving is God’s plan to expand His Kingdom through us! Give means to cause to come forth.
So, bless those who have less, give where you live, and sow where you want to grow!
Worship Stops Sin
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth
Worship means “show the worth” When we worship God, we cannot sin! It takes breath and surrender to worship. Keep your focus on Jesus!
Look to Calvary and worship!
Live it and Walk it
Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit!
If we eat the Word, we should walk the Word. If we feed our spirit, we should be led by our spirit and not our flesh.
Eat healthy!
Light in Delight
Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Delight is to value something or someone.
Do you value God’s Word? Is it your “go to” in good and bad times?
Remember, we light on what we delight in!
Be a Finisher!
Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Coaches want players that can finish the play. They get fouled or knocked down, but they score!
Don’t just run up and down the courts of life. Be a finisher! No excuses!
Fought and Finished
2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Fought means to enter a contest.
Finished means to bring to a close.
If you are going to fight, finish it!
Fight the good fight!
No Comparison
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us
The potter knows that darkness keeps the clay soft until he is ready to make something beautiful of it.
Be encouraged
Partners
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
Partnerships are stronger when we know our role, strengths and the desired outcome
When we choose to partner with Jesus, and do it His Way, the battle is won! Who is your partner?
