@dom_conlon I don't blame you at all. I rarely post on Twitter/X but the browsing experience is unpleasant at best. So much of the contentI seems to be full of conflict and ill-informed opinions leading to personal attacks. Deleting the app now.

@KarlNova I've just read Rory Stewart's book, 'Politics on the Edge'. Definitely not my usual reading material but it offered a troubling insight into how our political systems work.

I’ve been told I should have asked for retweets/shares, so 🙏🏻

@IMcMillan Glorious.

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@PieCorbett It's a gorgeous piece of writing and, I agree, a modern classic.

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@moses_brian Oh my god, the thorns...

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@AttieLime @CatBake I regret to say that I've never encountered his work. What a poem! It tricks you into thinking it's light verse then smacks the wind out of you. Sheer brilliance.

@BardyMum @Katypoet Possibly only two pairs of shorts. Or one set of 4 -legged trousers. See below for the canine equivalent.

@PieCorbett @Emma_Turner75 @shirleyclarke_ As a very experienced teacher (brought in to solve a few issues) I was admonished for my marking of a child's work. I was told it wasn't constructive. I replied that it wasn't meant to be; it was celebratory. Amazing work should be acknowledged as such!

@brian_bilston Thanks for posting. Some good bedtime listening will be assured.

@AttieLime @JEngelMattern I understand that you can also purchase tea in an aerosol can...

@CatBake Lovely.

@shaindelr She's a schnauzer poodle cross so a schnoodle - apparently.

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@shaindelr ...and then they grow up...

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@BardyMum I was always just a bit too old to watch it without fearing I'd be found out. It was a sumptuously gorgeous programme.

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@JonathanHumble Oh, that one.

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@RumbleCoral I once sat waiting for a blackbird to initiate a conversation after I'd spent a hideous amount of time writing about talking animals.

@MusicEdu4all There's usually at least one paleontologist in every Y2 classroom.

[J H Rice @JohnHRice]

@AttieLime It's bit Johnist though...
