Hi, I wanted to feedback on your new Sparks scheme. You’ve changed it for the worse. The old 20% off offers were excellent. Now there’s no incentive to make a larger purchase. You’re literally encouraging me to spend less. How is that loyalty?
@GuardianQuitter@jonsopel Think back to the 2024 election. Labour’s victory was assured, so many people who might otherwise have voted Labour simply didn’t bother. The vote share therefore significantly under-represents the level of support the party had at the time.
@Morrisons Hi why are Jersey Royal potatoes listed as “British Jersey Royal Potatoes” when Jersey isn’t part of Great Britain or the UK? It seems confusing for customers.
@scottygb Important point: by refusing to use the offending word, it completely changed the emphasis. I think Emily Thornberry was right to interject, because it gave a more realistic — and therefore more urgent — picture of what was actually said and intended.
@J_W_Slaughter He found himself in the middle of a major RTÉ scandal after it emerged that the broadcaster had been understating how much he was really being paid.
@TimesRadio who is this presenter suggesting the stock market has crashed? Alarmist Tory nonsense. @Ofcom surely this is a breach of the broadcasting code? Whoever he is he clearly has no idea that news needs to be presented with “due accuracy”.
