Distillers and writers: Canada has a long and riveting history. It is NOT OK for brands to massage history to suit their narrative and it is sheer laziness & bad reporting for writers to simply repeat what they say. Do your research. In the end the real history will come out. eg:

That’s the Spirit! Canadian Distillers both big & small stepped up to the plate & produced much needed alcohol sanitizers. Our distilleries have always been strong supporters & financial contributors to our economy.
