Whoa! An op-ed in @washingtonpost accuses a UK school I attended as a U.S. Air Force brat of “canceling” a great historical figure. Good on ya, @HBK_School I say! https://t.co/chVlGyZuPK
@lexlanham I just feel sorry for the bears. Their Arctic home is melting and they’re reduced to Madison Avenue shilling, pretending to consume a product that is probably bad for them.
I tell ya, I was done with Twitter, er, X. But the defenestration of Will Lewis really energized it for me. It’s still a cesspool compared to before @elonmusk bought it but I’ve appreciated hearing from my former @washingtonpost colleagues.
Here’s @murraymatt’s signed letter to readers in today’s print @washingtonpost. No mention anywhere in today’s Post of the “restructuring” readers may have “read about,” which now includes Will Lewis being restructured out the door.
A house ad in today’s @washingtonpost. “You may have read about the restructuring…,” writes editor @murraymatt . Not if you read today’s Post. There’s nary a mention!
Small detail I just noticed. Will Lewis appended his handwritten signature to his bullshit “To our subscribers” letter. @murraymatt did not. Is that a signal? Is Matt Murray tied up somewhere in the @washingtonpost building? Blink once if you’re okay, Matt!
Sad day at @washingtonpost . And infuriating. What galls me is the note from @murraymatt that blames a print mindset for their woes. I shared a few thoughts on Substack.
