Unfortunately this happens all too frequently in the health care system. At the point of care, if possible, ask questions about costs. If you are scheduling a procedure, call ahead & ask about costs. Being as proactive as possible saves headaches later.

@ChadLivengood I don’t know the answer. I made an effort to find it but was unable to find the data. Example:
April 2021 26,000 hospital beds, 90% filled.
April 2020 26,000 beds, 75% filled
April 2019 27,000 beds, 70% filled
April 2018, 28,000 beds, 72% filled.

@ChadLivengood Yes Chad. I am interested to see how current hospitalizations compare to the same time periods pre Covid. We have 26,000 beds in Mich. If we sit at 18,000 filled today how many were filled 4/15/19, 4/15/18, 4/15/17. Thanks
