As a Linebacker, film study is crucial.

But these 3 mistakes are holding you back:

1. Being too casual

It’s not about putting your feet up and enjoying the game.

You can’t just watch the film like a fan.

Your film study must be deliberate.

FOCUS on the task at hand.

2. Not having a purpose

There are 3 reasons to watch film:

-To learn more about the game
-To scout an opponent
-To practice your reads

Know your PURPOSE before firing up the film.

3. Trying to see everything at once

If you try to see everything, you see nothing.

Focus on ONE thing at a time.

Keep your eye on the Left Guard.

Or watch all the 1st and 10 plays.

Pick one thing and watch it through.

That’s how you maximize your film study.
