@TheoryWiseOS My plan was going to be doing dungeons with my bro with a tiny bit of questing. Kind of feels like shit because I would rather do that than quest a shit ton in group
@JTrusu@goatlave2@shockastillz I’m just trying to keep the expectations where they need to be. I’m not dooming and glooming. I don’t care if the team can make the playoffs, I want a lombardi period. This may be a good season because of the schedule, but we are still a year out at least

Can confirm. Once we knew how to install addons we definitely used them. This was my hunter back in 05 prior to AQ40 being released
I was a stock picker, albeit blue chip dividend growth investing, but I completely redid my portfolio to low cost DIVERSIFIED index funds and my net worth went wayyyyyy higher. This advice is the truth.
Justin Wolfers: crypto, prediction markets, stock picking — it's the same seductive lie that you can beat the market. 100% of leading economists surveyed by the University of Chicago say the best investment is a low cost, diversified index fund. Full stop.
@bryanhasling Suits feel very performative (theatrical). I feel like for 9.9 time out of 10, you can be more comfortable, unless you are trying to impress or in court lol
@HyakutakeTouka I’m just trying to find a pack for my son and I to open because he rocked his chores this past week… everything is sold out at brick and mortar stores :/
This was a watershed moment for me. We needed this to be a badass moment and he came through. Made me a proud American. What happened after can be debated, but this moment was important.
This pitch was ~50mph, middle middle. Wearing kevlar. Eyes of the world on him. From the rubber (60’6”away).
Go outside today and try to throw a fastball for a strike from even 46’ away, wearing your most comfortable tee. Let me know how it goes.
@JustRemikun I agree, I have not loved the new patch. I feel like you have to force fast 8 unless you get a clear uncontested reroll. I wish they nerfed fatalis and buffed other things and that’s it.
Nearly every day toward the end of my tenure at The Washington Post, someone would complain to me about Jeff Bezos' changes. His decimation of the local news team. His abandonment of DC sports coverage. The shriveled Bezos opinion page, with the ideological diversity of a doorknob.
Today, The Washington Sun launches. It has made enormous new investments: +110 newsroom staff; DC's legendary food columnist; truly the best DMV reporters; a beloved weather blog; a growing roster of columnists; tons of worldclass reporters across many national beats; and also me.
The Washington Sun will not be perfect. We will write stories that you find annoying, dumb, or misinformed. I will make mistakes (& tell me if I do - [email protected]!). But at a time where investments in reporting are evaporating, I'm so excited The Sun is hiring real journalists doing real reporting.
If you want to help, I would love if you signed up for our (free!) newsletters, which routinely get genuinely rave reviews:

I’m a doctor and my kids won’t play Football (because I love them).
A new BMJ study should change the way parents should think about tackle football.
Researchers identified every former NFL player who died between 2008 and 2021: 1,712 men.
Of the 338 whose brains were examined, 315 had chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
93%.
But brain donation creates obvious selection bias. So the researchers asked a much harder question: what is the absolute minimum prevalence we can prove, even if we assume every player whose brain wasn’t examined did NOT have CTE?
For players who died between 2016 and 2021, the answer was 24.5%. 1 in 4!
And among the brain donors, nearly 60% had clinical dementia. The most advanced form of CTE was associated with a 44% higher risk of dementia.
The part parents really need to understand is that CTE appears to behave like a dose-dependent disease. The exposure isn’t simply concussions. It is years of repetitive head impacts. This means the more you play, the worse it is.
Prior research found that for every year younger someone began tackle football, cognitive symptoms appeared about 2.4 years earlier. Players who started before age 12 developed cognitive and behavioral symptoms roughly 13 years earlier.
And researchers studying these NFL players emphasize that much of their lifetime exposure happened before the NFL.
Football is an extraordinary sport. But childhood is the one period when parents get to decide how much cumulative exposure their child receives.
My kids can play flag football. They can learn the routes, build discipline, and the value of teamwork and competition.
But after seeing this data, I cannot justify deliberately adding years of repetitive head impacts to their developing brains.
Being a parent is a responsibility and I hope you do the same.
Just had my teeth cleaned at the dentist and I asked them about Hydroxyapatite vs Fluoride and they said both are effective, but hydroxyapatite is probably better. I now do 4 days of Hydro and 3 days of Fluoride.
You can't regrow tooth enamel, but you can remineralize it.
Left picture: researchers stripped minerals from the enamel, which created microscopic holes.
Right picture: treatment with 10% nano-hydroxyapatite helped to remineralize the enamel.
This works because tooth enamel is mostly made of hydroxyapatite. Nano-hydroxyapatite particles deposit onto the damaged enamel and attract calcium and phosphate to remineralize it.
