Re-watched #Gladiator (2000) with @russellcrowe last night. I love the hero's resigned death at the end. His work finished, vitality spent. His last words, a simple will. Reminds me of @PlacidoDomingo singing the sweet, final notes of Boccanegra at @MetOpera. The hero...retires
