Bate retires on top of the world 🌈
Five more medals for Great Britain on day three of the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio, with tandem duo Steve Bate and Chris Latham winning the rainbow bands together one last time in Bate's final race in red, white and blue.
The tandem success didn't stop there, with Lizzi Jordan and Danni Khan conquering the kilo. Archie Atkinson added a gold in the men's C4 scratch to his palmarès, with Fin Graham and Kadeena Cox each winning silver in the men's C3 elimination and the women's C4 sprint respectively.

It was a historical second day at the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro for the Great Britain Cycling team, as Sophie Unwin & Jenny Holl set a new world record on their way to a rainbow jersey, Jody Cundy won an inaugural sprint title and James Ball and Steff Lloyd took their first-ever kilo world title – amongst a host of other standout medal performances.
