@NSTeachersUnion No kidding. All fluff. No teeth. Government and their right arm (“Centres for Education”) will still be able to ram through their agenda without any resistance. There needs to be a body (elected Board) with veto power.
Great to see so much discussion this morning about the need to address Nova Scotia's worsening teacher shortage so every student can get the support they both need and deserve.
Please keep the conversation going at #OurKidsCantWait.

Our #KidsCantWait for more in class resources including the specialists who are constantly pulled to sub because of the teacher shortage. Students deserve teachers who have enough prep to assess and plan for their learning needs. Teacher burnout is real! @NSTeachersUnion#nspoli
@wabbitwarrior Of course you’re not an immigrant. You are a descendant of immigrants. As such, try to be respectful and empathetic to those who are going through those difficult times. Be kind
@DonMillsHFX@Educhatter Why is it that we never hear from Dumbass “Educhatter”, until there is another (illegitimate) reason to criticize public education? It’s like he “lies in wait” to feed on his vulnerable (but expecting) prey.
Students are heading back to school this week, and despite promises from the Houston government to bring back school boards, we've seen no action.
The gov's own report showed parents asking to reinstate school boards.
There should be elected school boards in Nova Scotia.
