Author. I usually write adventure in Sci-fi or fantasy. I was a soldier for 15 years. I write heroes against long odds. I also like cats & coffee. Lots of java!
My computer had a catastrophic cascade failure a couple of months ago. I didn't lose any of my WIPs, but the auxiliary documents - timelines and character bios - might be gone forever. I haven't had the courage to look at my backup stick yet. It's only a setback.
@RivaBoyd39563 Absolutely. I write science fiction, fantasy, and comedy fiction. I write both 1st and 3rd person. The only limitations are the ones we place on ourselves.
@JaeMargal I work in Information Management. Cleaning is applied filling. I use a spreadsheet to optimize efficiency. I dare to say I โloveโ cleaning, but laundry is even better.
Early morning word count - where Jess buys cat paraphernalia and decides where to put the litter boxes in the house, then - in real life - my cat decided it was snuggle time so writing stopped:
@klhicks912 Yup. Dealing with the war I was in. Lots of child soldiers. Lots of โcollateral damage,โ which means innocent civilians killed. Iโve been writing the store for five years now, on and off, between other projects.
Iโm not taking a break from writing, while working on editing and side projects. Iโm doing it all congruent, so everything takes three times longer to complete. 3 things get complete at the same time, however, so there is no boredom. I figure Iโm a quarter through my WIP.
@AuthorGoodwin Absolutely. This is the hill I will die on. I will defend the Oxford comma with the passion of a thousand burning suns, my quill, and the very fibre of my being.
