THE U.S. CAUSED THE COVID PANDEMIC, not China, the U.S. government revealed today.

“It's time the American people learn the real story," spy chief Tulsi Gabbard in a sensation-causing video released on X and a statement on the internet.

TRUTH AT LAST
The US spent millions to finance a lab in China’s Wuhan to experiment on killer viruses.

The research was on a technique called “gain of function” which some people see as weaponization of the viruses.

That research is “now widely viewed as the source of the unintentional lab leak that sparked the pandemic,” said Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence.

“This dangerous research caused immeasurable harm and countless lost lives,” she added.

PREFERRED NARRATIVE
After the pandemic broke out, Washington then worked to tell the world it could not have been a lab leak.

The preferred story circulating at the time was to say that animal-to-human transmission evolved in China due to the circumstances there.

But the evidence tells a different tale, the US spy chief said, releasing a new batch of top secret documents today, her last day in office. "It's time you know the truth," she said.

120 BIOLABS

The story begins with the US quietly setting up 120 biological laboratories across more than 30 countries. Some of these laboratories were involved in research on hazardous pathogens, she said.

Dr Anthony Fauci, while serving as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, sent millions of dollars of US taxpayer cash to be spent on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, she said.

In 2019, the Covid-19 virus apparently emerged in several locations around the world—but was first formally detected by scientists in Wuhan, China, at the end of 2019.

It was soon found all over the world. The “pandemic caused tremendous hardship and pain for millions,” Gabbard said.

PREFERRED NARRATIVE
For the US, the preferred story was that it was NOT a lab leak—because the world would realize that the Pentagon was financing biolabs around the world, and at home.

People raising the alarm about the biolabs were accused of “pushing Russian and Chinese disinformation”.

When the existence of the labs could not be denied, the BBC and other media reported that they were “peaceful labs” which were financed for entirely positive reasons—a line that Pentagon-watchers found hard to swallow.

LIED ABOUT INTELLIGENCE CONNECTION
Fauci worked with senior intelligence agents in the early days of the pandemic to shape the narrative but lied about it, Gabbard said.

In his testimony before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2024, he was asked under oath whether he had communicated with intelligence agencies concerning viral research before, during or after the pandemic.

Fauci replied: "Not to my knowledge, about COVID."

In January 2025, many people were puzzled when Former President Joe Biden issued “a pre-emptive pardon” to Fauci. Pardons, by definition, are given to people who have broken the law—but this had not happened at that time.

TREMENDOUS HARDSHIP
Gabbard is retiring to spend more time with her husband, who has cancer.

But she wanted to get the truth about this subject out there before she disappeared. She says the evidence indicates US-funded research was the root of the problem.

"The COVID-19 pandemic caused tremendous hardship and pain for millions of our fellow Americans and for countless people around the world,” she said.

The USA has published the official text of the memorandum of understanding reached with Iran last week:

— An immediate, permanent ceasefire between the USA, Iran, and their allies on all fronts, including Lebanon, with both sides renouncing future military actions and guaranteeing Lebanon's sovereignty.

— Mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, without interference in each other's internal affairs.

— A final agreement must be reached within 60 days, with the possibility of an extension by mutual consent.

— The USA will immediately and completely lift the naval blockade within 30 days; Iran will gradually restore shipping. The USA will also withdraw nearby forces within 30 days after the conclusion of the final agreement.

— Iran will ensure free and safe commercial shipping between the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman within 60 days, with full restoration of traffic within 30 days after mine clearance and the removal of obstacles.

— Iran and Oman will discuss future governance and maritime arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz in consultation with regional states and in accordance with international law.

— The USA and regional partners will develop an economic development plan for Iran worth more than $300 billion, with details of implementation to be agreed upon within 60 days and all necessary licenses to be issued.

— All sanctions against Iran will be lifted according to the agreed schedule, including UN and IAEA sanctions, primary and secondary US sanctions, with the lifting of sanctions being a priority topic of negotiations.

— Iran confirms that it will not develop nuclear weapons. The issue of enriched uranium reserves will be resolved through a mutually agreed mechanism, which will at a minimum include on-site dilution under IAEA supervision. Future enrichment and nuclear needs will be addressed in the final agreement.

— Maintaining the status quo until the conclusion of the final deal: Iran will freeze its current nuclear position, while the USA will not impose new sanctions or deploy additional regional forces.

— The immediate lifting of US sanctions on Iranian oil, oil products, derivatives, and all related banking, insurance, shipping, and commercial services.

— Frozen Iranian assets will become available in accordance with agreed procedures, with full utilization permitted by the Central Bank of Iran and supported by all necessary US licenses and permits.

— A joint implementation and monitoring mechanism will oversee compliance with the memorandum of understanding and any future final agreement.

Negotiations on the final agreement will begin after the implementation of key provisions, and the final agreement will be approved by a UN Security Council resolution.

▫️FIFA official ticketing site does dynamic pricing (95 of 104 matches saw price hikes; average hike of 35%) and also takes a 15% cut on resales (from the buyer and the seller)

▫️plans to make $3B from tickets in 2026 vs. $1B in Qatar 2022

▫️$3B on tickets equal to Qatar 2022’s revenue from broadcast rights (these rights are the tournament’s cash cow; $4B expected in 2026)

▫️ from 2022 to 2026, projected ticket revenue is up 3x while broadcast rights only up 1.3x

▫️total revenue for World Cup 2026 projected at $11B vs. $8B for Qatar 2022

▫️ticket-revenue maxxxing plan also benefits from FIFA expanding to 48 teams and 104 matches (Qatar had 32 teams and 64 matches)

In the past, FIFA was fine to underprice ticketing because it only contributed 10-15% of total revenue (rest was broadcast, marketing and licensing).

In 2026, clearly wanted to milk the juicy North American live events market (see: Knicks vs. Spurs Game 3) and ticketing is projected to make up 27% of total revenue (with 75% of 104 games in US).

FIFA says its approach is to fight bots and scalpers. The website is opaque, glitchy AF and sucks, though.

Great strategy to annoy fans. Meanwhile, NY/NJ hit FIFA with subpoena to reveal mechanics behind its ticketing process.

Ton of group stage games with unsold inventory. Unless FIFA wants empty swathes of seats in stadium, forced to dump tix on SeatGeek or StubHub (both deny having a direct relationship with FIFA).

Resale market prices tanking, which is pissing off fans that paid full upfront (a lot already decided not to go due to initial sticker shock and FIFA creating artificial scarcity months ago).

Most expensive team to follow is Brazil: estimated $3,800 to see all 3 group stage games (followed by Portugal, Scotland, USA and Argentina).

Well done to the Mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, for speaking out against the discriminatory visa policy that has seen Africa’s top referee and several football coaches denied entry into the United States.
