Babu Bajrangi is the real life culprit and mastermind behind the Naroda Patiya massacre, one of the most intensely brutal episodes of the 2002 Gujarat riots, killing 97 Muslims (includes 36 women, 35 children & 26 men) in cold blood. He had candidly accepted his role in the massacre, even boasting about the kills, in a hidden camera interview done by Tehelka. He was sentenced to life term by a Special Court. And is now out on bail.

You can pressure a film's producers to change the name of the villain, because of the similarity in name. But can you change the history, the court case, the reality, the acceptance on camera, the brutality? 😐

Remembering the 'legacy' of the great Justice #Chandrachud today. It was during his tenure as CJI - that the #SupremeCourt allowed the dilution of the Places of Worship Act 1991.....That law was meant to stop exactly this sort of mindless violence that politicians instigate by digging up wrongs done in the distant past.
🚨Either the Supreme Court will have to undo the damage and reassert Places of Worship Act - that no further places of worships will be brought down - or be ready more political exploration of this issue ... because Netas have very little to show in terms of improving - jobs / growth / income / standard of living.

We strongly oppose many parts of the budget, particularly what the Finance Minister has done to the middle class and salaried professionals. This is a betrayal of the middle class, as it involves the removal of indexation and the imposition of higher taxes on their savings and investment gains. This decision affects 7 crore Indians who file income taxes, including those who own a home, wish to own a home in the future, or want to invest their savings. The removal of indexation and the increase in capital gains taxes have drastically increased the taxes of salaried professionals.

The All India Professionals’ Congress & the Congress party launched a campaign to bring back indexation, with a petition asking people to sign, and nearly 12,000 people have signed the petition in just one day. Yesterday, the Government of India announced a rollback of indexation. We welcome this! However, this is not enough. We urge the government to extend indexation benefits to other forms of savings as well.
