@NYCMayor The weird part is, even though Mamdani has been on X since 2011, the first time he ever mentioned the Knicks was in April 2025, after announcing he was running for mayor.
Because he's only pretending to be a Knicks fan.
🚨 BREAKING: Rioters have begun setting the school buses ON FIRE in Times Square during the Knicks riots
Police do not have NEARLY ENOUGH SUPPORT
Mamdani and Hochul have ABSOLUTELY FAILED NYPD and law abiding New Yorkers
🚨 Rioters not only destroyed school buses in Times Square tonight — they also tried taking over a CITY BUS while the DRIVER was still in it
Broke glass, kicked the door in, and then boarded.
Their faces on camera. But they don’t care, because there will be ZERO CONSEQUENCES
The riots tonight left Times Square looking like a total WARZONE.
Millions of dollars in property damage.
Several people injured, including officers.
Teenager shot.
All while Mamdani and Hochul were out partying
They didn’t left a FINGER to help the overwhelmed NYPD.
Shame.
Honest question. What percentage of Knicks celebrity fans would also show up in Laker gear for Laker celebrity row if the Lakers were in the Finals? I think it’s over 50%
Let’s just be clear about what the mayor is doing here.
In light of the chaos and violence that took place during the last ‘watch party’, including destruction of property, riot, and gang assault, MSG has prudently chosen to cancel the event.
And instead of condemning the violence and acknowledging that public safety must come before a basketball game, Zohran is instead calling out the owner of the team and inviting the rioters to take to the streets regardless, for a replay of the horrifying scenes we all saw last time.
This is an incredibly reckless act by a child mayor who doesn’t care about public safety at all. He has repeatedly enabled and excused the ‘takeover’ riots that ordinary New Yorkers are sick of, and this is yet another example.
Whatever chaos happens tonight is now squarely at the feet of the mayor, and I hope he is made to bear the legal penalties for it as well.
The Knicks' success has exposed an uncomfortable truth...
New York contains a staggering number of degenerate men in their 20s, whose hobbies appear to consist of drinking and fighting in public, climbing and trashing things, and confusing antisocial behavior with civic pride.
After receiving reports of an individual with a Wallaby on the Coney Island Boardwalk last night, officers from the @NYPD60Pct responded & rescued the animal, giving it to the @NYCACC. The individual received a summons for "possession of a wild marsupial."
