It has come to light that the individual on the ground is an employee at one of the Coolock factories, returning home from work, and not a protester. Unfortunately, he was severely beaten by the Gardaí and is now lying here with an officer's boot on his neck. This incident raises serious concerns about the state of our country.

Sugar, a heavy food item to transport has gone from 89c to currently €1.79 per kg.
