Let me introduce you to a very interesting game I have been playing lately. It is called Legend of Base

I'm really excited to show you this game, but I'm also kind of worried. I don't want you getting addicted. Lol!

If you're hearing about this game for the first time, you might think I'm crazy, and it's not gonna make any sense, but I promise you, after reading this post and playing the game for about 5 minutes, you will be addicted. No kidding!

Legends of base is similar to a 2022 indie game called, Vampire Survivors, but with slightly better graphics. It is a time survival game with minimalistic gameplay and roguelike elements. There's no place to hide, all you can do is try to survive a cursed night and get as much gold as possible for the next survivor, before Death inevitably puts an end to your struggles.

Legend of Base is powered by @Uptopia_xyz and you can access/play the game on Farcaster (https://t.co/PBtxdHNxYK), and on the BaseApp (https://t.co/rscC9FEHgT).

Here is a breakdown of the game;

→ Objective: The main goal is to survive for 30 minutes on a level with a chosen hero (character). There are multiple levels to play.

Gameplay Mechanics:
→ Hero Selection & Leveling Up: Players choose a hero (character) and jump into battle. Collecting gold crystals grants experience, leading to leveling up.

→ Roguelike Elements: Upon leveling up, players make choices, often involving new weapons, skills or upgrades, reflecting roguelike mechanics. Dying is part of the learning process, allowing players to earn purple diamonds for power-ups and skill upgrades.

→ Weapons and Synergies: Heroes have main weapons, like the gun, which can be leveled up. There are also weapon synergies, such as combining the gun with a swinging sword for a better weapon.

→ Gold Crystals and Upgrades: Gold crystals are collected by destroying enemies and other elements in the game, which can be used to buy upgrades and weapons.

→ Treasure Chests: Treasure chests are significant in Legend of base because they are one of the coolest things about the game. Dropped by certain enemies in the game, these chests provide multiple weapon upgrades and purple diamonds, serving as significant in-game events. These chests can significantly boost a player's power and progression during a run.

→ Difficulty and Progression: The game starts relatively easy but quickly becomes chaotic with increasing enemy numbers. Surviving longer and reaching higher levels unlocks new items, skills and weapons.

There are a lot of cool features in the game like;
→ Lucky Spins
→ Quests (Daily, Weekly)
→ Daily Bonuses
→ Achievements
→ Training Centre
→ Shop

How do You Actually Progress (Level Up) in the Game?

→ Collecting Experience (gold crystals): The primary way to progress is by collecting gold crystals dropped by defeated enemies. These crystals fill an experience bar, and once full, the player levels up.

→ Leveling Up and Choosing Upgrades: Each time you level up, you will be presented with a choice of new weapons or upgrades, which is a core roguelike mechanic. These choices are crucial for building a powerful hero (character).

→ Earning Purple Diamonds: This can be used to purchase power-ups that make subsequent runs easier.

→ Unlocking New Heroes and Minting Pets: You can get new heroes by minting the character. It doesn't cost up to a dollar. Each character has different starting weapons, offering varied gameplay experiences. Minting pets helps the player collect more in-game good crystals which helps level up faster.

→ Weapon Evolution/Synergies: Weapons can be leveled up to their maximum (level 8), and some can even be "evolved" into more powerful forms when paired with specific items.

→ Surviving for Longer Durations: A key progression milestone is surviving for 30 minutes on a particular run, which counts as winning with that hero (character).

That's mostly all you need to know about legend of base. If you guys do want to see more of this game, let me know because I'm going to be playing it regardless. It's really incredible.

If you are a fan of vampire survivors, I feel like when you play legend of base once, you will greatly appreciate just how well-made this game is.

Personally, there are some really cool features that make me prefer Legend of Base.

→ The Pets: this helps you gather the gold diamonds at a quicker pace, which means you level up faster.

→ The weapons and skills on Legends of base. Especially, the swinging sword. Oh, boy! That is insane. 😁🔥

→ NFT Minting: You can mint your heroes (Characters), and pets in the game and trade them whenever you want on-chain on opensea.

This has to be one of the best web3 games I have played so far. When I first looked at it, my impression was that there's no way this game was going to make any sense, but then i played it, and now I'm hooked.
