Back then when I was still very young, about 6 or 7.
There was this neighbor of mine that we usually play together, both of our parents even knew each other during that period. Their cousins came to visit them.
Two girls, one my age and the other older.
There was this game we usually played where the small ones would stay at the back of a wheelbarrow and the bigger ones would spin the wheel like it's a car (there is a way you will place a wheelbarrow beside a fence, there will be space at the back).
Me and this girl entered together, and the older people were spinning the wheel and playing.
Then this girl pecked my cheek. I didn't complain, then I decided to peck her back, you know... do me, I do you. 🤣
This girl then shouted and ran out. Nobody said anything. Later that day, after the play had ended, her elder sister called all of us and told the girl to narrate what happened.
She told everyone that I kissed her, not that I pecked her, whereas I didn't do it (I tried to peck her back sha 🤣), but she lied that I did, and everybody started shouting and didn't even want to hear what I was saying or my side of the story.
They even gave me a nickname and used it to laugh at me for a long time. Even my siblings laughed and called me that name. 😶
We are all grown now sha, and I'm sure they still remember.
But Ifechukwu, I won't forget or forgive you for this lie. 😤
