#Eagles don’t issue statements for many parting players. While Barnett didn’t exactly perform up to some first-round standards, he was no bust.

He increasingly became known for undisciplined moments, but he had a long leash because he was internally admired.

That may have gone unnoticed by many outside the NovaCare because he was quiet and wasn’t comfortable talking to reporters.

But it shouldn’t get lost in some of the negativity out there upon his release. Few played as hard to the whistle.
