@NinjaTurtlePH yeah I’m honestly not seeing those comments but on a regular basis I am
Seeing people complain about those comments I never see. Just strikes me as odd but maybe I’m just missing them by a hair.
@NinjaTurtlePH I’d say they were “dark and gritty” quite often and in some of the most iconic stories, such as Return to New York and City at War.
Plenty of “dark” in both of those throughout.
I’d say the melancholy is part of that as well. Melancholy is dark.
@NinjaTurtlePH Yeah I just personally see more people complaining about others doing this than I see anyone doing it. I never see anyone claim the mirage comics were just pure gore and edge.
At the same time, many of the mirage comics were “dark n gritty” so it wouldn’t be that far off anyway.
@NinjaTurtlePH I don’t really see that as a widespread problem. Personally I’ve never seen it. Not saying it doesn’t exist but it seems the backlash to TLR is a bit overzealous imo.
@KonbiniRich@NinjaTurtlePH Yup. There’s a lot of that I think.
I see so many of them totally exaggerating what fans who want more mature TMNT are actually asking for or just shitting on TLR like it ran over their cat. Bizarre.
